The pumping station originally had a pair of beam engines and these columns and entablature were the mortal remains by 1982. The beam engine house then contained electric pumps and a Belliss and Morcom steam engine that had driven an alternator. The Belliss is now at Snibston in Leicestershire, the columns seen here are at Blists Hill near Ironbridge and the supported entablature is at the Museum of iron in Coalbrookdale. The engine house was demolished long ago.
