St Mark's Church, incorporating The London Christian Meditation Centre, is seen here from the corner of River Street and Myddelton Passage. The church's west door (its main door?) opens onto Mylne Street and a park, i.e. Myddelton Square, surrounds the church on three sides. Faced in Bath stone and rising to 30 metres (95ft), the tower is seen by many as its saving grace in what is otherwise seen as a fairly ordinary building. This Grade II-listed building was designed by W.C. Mylne and was constructed during the period 1825-7 by the New River Company. Pentonville Road lies 4-5 minutes walk ahead.
