At the end of March, a large section of chalk cliff gave way at St Margaret's Bay - see http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2298868/Huge-section-White-Cliffs-Dover-falls-sea-just-yards-row-beach-houses.html In this view, standing on the promenade, the pristine whiteness of the chalk face left behind is apparent. The house on the left nearest the rock fall was formerly owned by James Bond's creator Ian Fleming - see http://www.007magazine.co.uk/fleming/kentish01.htm and before him by Noel Coward. Despite its famous associations even James Bond would be a little wary living there now.
