Last year on a Sunday afternoon in late March there were many children and members out in this area behind Penn Bowling and Social Club. This year was the coldest March since 1962; this snow fell on 22/23 March. The club is a well run sports orientated business offering a function room for hire as well as a comfortable bar serving Banks's Bitter and Mild plus three other real ales (guests) on handpumps. update August 2018 - There is a defibrillator stationed here by the main entrance to the club.
