When the new station was built at Ivybridge this large car park was built next to it with the intention that people would drive to the station then commute to Plymouth by train. It is very underused because the road to Plymouth is very good, most of the employment in Plymouth is nowhere near the train station and there are not enough trains stopping at Ivybride.
