The Shefford Stream, an ephemeral river which appears in this valley only when groundwater levels are exceptionally high, is flowing well this year. South of the road where I'm standing there is a proper channel for the stream, which manages to hold most, though not all, of the water. To the north there isn't anything and the water just fills up the valley as you see here.
