Beardiville gate lodge, Cloyfin near Bushmills

The Beardiville demesne, Cloyfin, was established in the 17th century with the house said to have been built around 1710/12. This lodge at the South Entrance (Ballyhone Road) is thought to date from circa 1810. The architect might have been Richard Elsam http://www.dia.ie/architects/view/1785 . Last seen in Image (May 2006).
