In 1981, Whilst in the UK to attend the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, HM King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV of Tonga visited Dove Stone Reservoir to pick up tips on reservoir construction and design. To commemorate this visit, this carved stone has been set into the dam wall of the Yeoman Hey reservoir. Yeoman Hey Reservoir itself dates from 1880.
