No.4 (with 'For Sale' sign) was originally the offices of the Deddington Steam Company, a late 19th century shipping business. It was subsequently renamed after the company owner and managing director, Henry Samman. He later gifted the premises to Hull Chamber of Commerce and Shipping, of which he was vice-chairman. Samman was born at Deddington, Oxfordshire, 1849, and died 1928, in Nice. In 2013, approval was obtained to convert the building to eight apartments. The entrance door-frame incorporates 'Hull Chamber of Commerce and Shipping' and 'Samman House' in its design. Image
