"Sandwich Cinema is really rather lovely and a fetching mix of old and new. I have visited to see a couple of films and love the interior, which is a mix of modern seating and screening facilities plus art deco design and decoration. There is normally only one film playing at a time, but I don’t find that a problem. It’s really nice to see an old cinema restored and operational, rather than films only being shown at impersonal multiplexes. I would definitely recommend a visit, as it’s nice to support a small cinema as well as being a good evening out. - Betty" Quote from a cinema review site, with thanks to Betty. The cinema started showing films in 1937.
