View roughly ESE, towards Chesham. This shot was taken on a very wet day in mid-March, and a stretch of this narrow lane - near the Westdean Lane turning - was under water. The lie of the land (enclosed between two ridges) means that this little valley has a remote feel, pretty rare these days in inland parts of south-east England. The main land-use is as sheep pasture.
