Even by the standards of 'single track' roads, the roadway along Pednor Bottom is a narrow one - and there are no passing-places other than at field and farm entrances. The valley is out of earshot of any major road, and feels remote in a way that is rare in the Home Counties these days. So it came as a surprise when I was able to locate this shot using Google Street View (street view, indeed!) - I'd imagined that lanes this narrow were beyond the reach of the Street View van. Ah well . . . The 'sound track' here - on this very wet St Patrick's Day - included the calls of both buzzards and kites, species now well established in the Chilterns.
