Viewed from David Davies Road. The business units, similar to Nissen huts, are owned by Woodham Brothers Ltd. They were built in the 1970s under the direction of Dai Woodham, to provide low-cost units for local businesses. The late Dai Woodham is most often remembered today as the owner of the scrapyard in Barry which formerly contained hundreds of scrapped steam locomotives, many of which were bought by heritage railway companies and others, for restoration.
