This is the rear view of a crescent designed and built by Amon henry Wilds in 1849. The buildings front onto a garden that was once the northern end of an open space known as The Level and this side has been designed to look like villas whereas the rear in view replicate a terrace. The now private garden the crescent encloses was originally a cricket ground that was used between 1823 and 1847 by Sussex CC.
