This was taken in early December 2012 when the starlings had chosen a roost site in conifer trees behind the Marks and Spencer store at Gretna Gateway Outlet Village. The sound of chattering starlings in the trees at roost time was amazing and many cars in the large car park at the shopping centre had been hit by bird droppings.
