Lock No 55 and Warwick Road Bridge, No 68. There is a flight of four locks down through Stratford-upon-Avon, then a fifth into the River Avon. This is the fourth one down, lowering the water level by 6ft 9in (about two metres). Having a single tail gate like this to a lock chamber is unusual, but most locks on the Stratford-upon-Avon are designed this way. More widely used are a pair of mitre gates.
