WCWW must surely stand for Wakefield Corporation Water Works. The modern Yorkshire Water plate helpfully specifies the diameter of the main as 21 inches, and it presumably carries water from the storage reservoir at Ringstone Edge to the one at Ardsley near Wakefield. This water supply system was opened in 1898. Tracking the route and finding more of these plates is going to be difficult (looking at the water main records would be cheating!).
