This wide street once housed livestock markets - today it is now home to a variety of stalls on market days. The distinctive building at the corner of Ward Street is a W.C. but it once housed the municipal fire department. The bus has come from the 'Park and Ride' terminus at Merrow. www.guildford.gov.uk
