The name shown on the church board on the Wellington Hill side shows HORFIELD PARISH CHURCH Holy Trinity with St Edmund. The church was originally dedicated to St Andrew, but was rededicated to the Holy Trinity at an unknown date before 1800. The name of St Edmund was added in 1978, when the mission church of that name in Gloucester Road closed down.
