Just beyond the road that crosses under the railway line here, now totally covered by undergrowth, was the site of the Kelvedon and Tollesbury Light Railway station (= one short platform) between 1904 and 1951 (for passengers), which then curved away sharply to the right towards Tiptree and Tollesbury.
