Sitting in a fine park, the house is a good illustration of the fashion in medium-sized country houses, c1700 (the sashed windows are c1768) - symmetrical, two main storeys of equal height, quoins, hipped roof, dormers and roof balustrade. It is faced in granite ashlar. Grade I listed.
