View SE, towards Welshpool. The original ex-GWR (former Cambrian Railway) narrow-gauge line ceased to convey passengers from 9/2/31 but survived until 5/11/56. It was restored by the W&L Preservation Society, first from Llanfair Caereinion to Castle Caereinion, including Cyfronydd, from 6/4/63, then through to Welshpool (Raven Square) from 18/7/81.
