This group of Bungalows is known as Ferrier Bank ... and is named after Kathleen Ferrier, who was a famous singer in the late 1930s until her early and sad death in 1953 at the age of 41. She is most famously known for her rendition of the tune 'Blow the Wind Southerly' She lived in Warton for a short time, cycling to Lytham where she was a member of the Operatic Society. See also ...
