The south side of the war memorial Image at Ardwick Green is inscribed with the name "Gallipoli" and the inscription "To the glorious memory of members of the 8th (Ardwick) Battalion Manchester Regiment who gave their lives in the cause of liberty and justice in the Great War 1914-1918. They died that we may live in freedom".
