Opened in 1848 by the Leeds and Thirsk Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1962 and completely in 1964. View south from the former level crossing. The single storey building was part of the 1870 rebuild of the station and we are looking along the site of the northbound (towards Ripon and Thirsk) platform. The two tracks would have been to the left and then the southbound (towards Harrogate and Leeds) platform. All the other buildings are modern.
