Brecon is a county town (or was), a market town, an historic town and of course a barracks town. The HQ of the old Welsh Brigade has been here for years and adjacent is the museum of the old South Wales Borderers regiment, famous for their heroics at Rorke's Drift in 1879. Well worth a visit.
