This is actually signposted as Greendykes Road Car Park, though the map suggests it is or perhaps was Bridge Place. The houses are part of the modern housing estate that replaced the rows of miners' cottages in the 1960s or thereabout. West Lothian County Council's architects seem to have favoured 'half-houses' with a single pitched roof instead of the traditional double pitched roof. I have noticed them in several places around the county.
