Smith Street has buildings of all ages and styles. They blend together in a pleasing ensemble. The features of no.26 (an accountant's office) make it stand out by contrast with its neighbours. The small ground floor window contrasts with the splendid pair of oriel windows above. The vermiculated rustication at the corners might be expected on a grander building.
