Work under way on creating parking as part of the station re-development. Track has been lifted from platforms 4 and 5 and the end of the canopy demolished. 128 car-parking spaces are to created in the area occupied by the disused platforms, which have been out of use since 1978. See Image for an earlier view of what is now missing. The flats over the shops on Vaughan Street can be seen through the gap.
