Just how tall this tree is can be seen by comparing it to the size of my children (the taller one being c. 4'8" (1.4m)-ish) near its base (and nearer the camera). The tree to the left looks almost as tall from this angle, but is actually a lot nearer the camera and is in fact a fair bit shorter. As can be seen, the snow was still falling enthusiastically when I took this shot. See also Image]
