Footbridge at Winchburgh

The footbridge is relatively modern, compared to the road bridge beside which it crosses the Union Canal. It was built in the 1950s or 1960s because of the danger to pedestrians from traffic on the road, which was the A9 trunk road then. Nowadays one can stand relatively safely in the middle of the road to photograph the footbridge.
