Dymond was a 35 year old Fireman on the ship's maiden voyage and survived the disaster http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Titanic His daughter wrote to the Southern Evening Echo in November 1970."My father was in charge of the last lifeboat to leave The Titanic. He always told us the ship's band was playing Nearer My God to Thee. My father died in 1947 and my mother has just passed her 89th birthday." (The plaque on the grave confirms this; and that his wife Mary Jane died the following year, 1971)
