Canalside renovations and several dozen new fishing platforms are seen here along a stretch of the Erewash Canal that runs parallel with Bennett Street. Between the hedge and the River Erewash that lies a short distance away there is an embankment 3-4 ft above these two water courses bearing a raised cycle route. At this point Long Eaton is 10-15 minutes walk away behind the photographer.
