View eastward on B4386 towards Shrewsbury: Cruckton station had been on the left, until closed to passengers 6/11/33, goods 2/5/49. Closed to passengers since 1933, the S&M Railway from Shrewsbury (Abbey) (to right) to Llanymynech was taken over by the War Department on 1/6/41 until 2/5/49, but not finally abandoned until 29/2/60.
