This brewery is now closed and partly demolished for redevelopment but back in 1984 it housed two steam engines. This is a Belliss & Morcom inverted vertical single cylinder (enclosed) engine. It was No. 8858 of 1935 with a cylinder 7" x 5" and developing c25 horsepower. It was removed the same year as the photograph and is now in store at Bursledon Brickworks.
