Site of the former Church of St Martin. The church, which was demolished in 1970, had stood here for 100 years. It stood on the site of an earlier church that was damaged in the Civil War in 1644 by Cromwell's troops. The tower was restored in 1740, but the rest of the building was demolished. The tower lasted until 1921.
