Three tracks sweep southwards from the station at Newton, and from beneath the footbridge shown in Image They are bound for Plymouth and Penzance, and for the branch line to Torquay and Paignton, which branches off in a kilometre and a half. Trees hide the houses whose properties back onto the track on each side.
