Taken to show the closing down sale of the Blockbuster video shop. The Blockbuster chain, which had more than 500 shops, went into administration in January 2013. This pair of retail units (next door on the left is Aldi) was built in the early 1990's on land which was formerly grounds of the adjacent 'Holiday Inn' hotel (which was built c.1970). Note the high voltage power lines which pass directly over these retail units - the power lines were there before the shops were built and it is unlikely that buildings would be allowed to be built in this location today.
