E.ON is one of the UK's leading power and gas companies, generating electricity, and retailing power and gas. Their temporarily vacant stand, used by staff trying to persuade passers-by to switch to E.ON, is in the doorway of empty premises on the corner of Crane Street and George Street, opposite a Co-operative Bank branch. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3329609 This corner store was formerly a branch of shoe sellers Stead & Simpson. Earlier, it was a Peglers grocery shop.
