Whilst on a 12 mile walk on Christmas Day, we stopped here for lunch, on picnic tables that had been stored for the winter but where we could get a bit of shelter from the strong westerly wind. The view is nearly north, towards Hurst Castle, protecting the western end of The Solent in Image
