Although the offices for Heanor and Loscoe Town Council (c.1867), with the externally mounted clock, appear still to be functioning, the building beyond it, a former Midland Bank that later became home to a HSBC branch, is currently standing empty. Both of these buildings are Grade II-listed, the latter is thought to have been designed by A.N. Bromley (c.1890) the architect who designed Hucknall Free Library.
