View eastward, towards Gilling East, Pickering and Malton: ex-North Eastern Pilmoor - Gilling East - Pickering/Malton lines. The station closed 2/2/53 along with local passenger service, but the route remained for seasonal holiday trains via Malton until 8/9/62, also for goods to Amotherby from Malton until 17/10/64. (Cf. Image]). Note the sign for the North Yorks Moors National Park.
