The vehicles in this lay-by on the side of A608 are facing in the direction of Heannor, a minute or so away from Junction 27 of the M1 motorway. Two tall radio-signal transmitters are sited behind the photographer on a short parallel stretch of the former A608 that once carried the traffic through this area before the new dual-carriageway was opened. Part of Sherwood Business Park is situated on the left, on the other side of the roundabout in the distance.
