A kerbside recycling lorry squeezes its way up the narrow lane leading to Cilgwyn Mawr through the small cluster of houses. Once again the footpath has been diverted, and now runs through the field and over a stile and down steep steps to the road instead of following the track to Ty Newydd as indicated on the map.
