Viewed across a neighbour's drive and garden. The chapel has a claim to fame and not the obvious one of its diminutive size. The Methodist Heritage website lists it thus. "Cloud Chapel is the oldest (formerly) Primitive Methodist Chapel still in regular use. Hugh Bourne preached here in 1811 and inspired the local rural people reputedly to collect the funds in 3 days and to build the chapel in three weeks in 1815. Today, the chapel retains preaching plans dating back to around 1812, showing the names of Hugh and James Bourne, the Harvey family and the Deakins. "
