Though overpainted, the name BRISTOL HOUSE is clearly visible on these empty Silver Street premises. A century and more ago, this was a tailors' business. In 1915 it was the premises of Montgomery Brothers, Ladies & Gentlemen's High Grade Tailors. Earlier, it was the premises of W.J.Grimes, also a tailors' business.
