The original school founded in 1792 by Hannah & Mary Corbett (on a different site) catered for twenty poor boys and 12 poor girls aged between 8 and 15. The present school is a voluntary aided Church of England primary School. The grounds and buildings are owned by the charitable trust originally set up by the Corbett Sisters, although they have not been involved with the educational side of things since 1944. Image Image
