There's something about this photograph of Swanage railway station on a quiet December weekday that shouts that Christmas was just around the corner. And one would be right to assume that during the following weekend the station would be mobbed by children and their parents eager to meet and receive a present from Father Christmas on one of the special trains operated over the heritage railway to Corfe Castle by the Swanage Railway Company.
