On a site visit to inspect Viridor's Anaerobic Digestion plant at Reliance Street, Manchester. They harvest organic material from black bin waste which undergoes anaerobic digestion in one of the two large tanks seen on the photo. Gas is produced which is used on-site to produce electricity which is fed into the National Grid.
