On the far side of Harrington Square is the former Carreras Cigarette Factory. It is a large Art Deco building and noted as a striking example of early 20th Century Egyptian Revival architecture. The building was erected in 1926-28 by the Carreras Tobacco Company. In 1996 the building was restored to its former glory.
